1918-1919: The Spanish Influenza, was a influenza pandemic, that spread across the world. It's estimated that between 50-100 million people died worldwide, far exceeding the deaths of World War One.

8 Jan. 1918: With American involvement eminent, President Wilson came up with his famous Fourteen Point, plan. It tried to find common ground on a peaceful settlement of disputes, giving both strong and weak nations alike equal say.

21 March 1918: The Germans launched the first of five offensives, in an attempt to win the war, before America entered the war. The offensives were mostly successful, until June, when they were stopped.

April/May 1918: The infamous Baron von Richthofen-The Red Baron is killed in a dog-fight on 22 April 1918. On 25 April 1918, the British and Australian troops stop the Germans near Amiens. The Germans shell Paris, France, on 23 May 1918. On 31 May 1918, American forces, stop the Germans at Chateau-Thierry, near Paris.

July 1918: German troops moving from the Eastern Front to the Western Front, start to desert in large numbers. The Bolsheviks, murder former TSAR Nicholas II and his family and friends on 16-17 July 1918.

August 1918: President Wilson, agrees to send volunteer, troops into Russia on 3 August 1918. On 8 August 1918, the Germans retreat, under allied counter-offensives at the Somme.

Sept./Oct. 1918: The allies break through the Hindenburg Line. On 28 October 1918, German sailors mutiny, and refuse to fight a hopeless naval battle. Turks sign the Armistice on 30 October.

November 1918: Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicates on 9 Nov. 1918. On 10 Nov. 1918, the Germans form a new republic.

11 November 1918: At eleven o'clock on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, the war ends as Germany and Allies sign an Armistice.
